Mandatory Documents — Bring All Three Originals
- ☐ Nigerian International Passport — valid or expired. Must be original.
- ☐ Nigerian Birth Certificate — NPC-issued. Foreign birth certificate acceptable if born abroad.
- ☐ Authentication/Attestation Letter from the Nigerian High Commission, London (or Embassy Berlin for Germany applicants).
Optional but Strongly Recommended
- ☐ BVN (write it down or have it in your phone) — speeds up processing and helps prevent delays
On the Day
- ☐ Printed NIMC pre-enrolment slip from penrol.nimc.gov.ng (2D barcode must be visible)
- ☐ Payment — £50 by bank transfer or card
- ☐ Bright-coloured top — your NIN photo is taken at the appointment
- ☐ Self-addressed envelope (optional) — if you want your NIN slip posted to you

- ☐ If guardian (not biological parent): evidence of legal guardianship

- ☐ Payment — £40 per child by bank transfer or card
- ☐ Parent or guardian must remain present throughout the appointment

Documents to Bring
- ☐ Nigerian International Passport — original (valid or expired)
- ☐ Nigerian Birth Certificate — NPC-issued original
- ☐ Transaction ID from original enrolment (if available — not mandatory)
- ☐ Any other government-issued Nigerian ID (for additional verification)
On the Day
- ☐ Payment — £20 (number only) or £35 (replacement slip/card)
⚠️ The Golden Rules
- Originals only — photocopies, scanned copies and phone images are never accepted for any document at any NIN appointment
- Wear a bright-coloured top — avoid white, black or grey if possible. Your NIN photo is taken on the day
- Check your pre-enrolment form carefully — especially your name spelling and phone number. Errors on the pre-enrolment form become errors on your NIN
- Arrive on time — NIN appointments run to a strict schedule. Arriving late may mean rescheduling
- Contact us before booking if you are unsure about any document — better to check first than make a wasted journey
